HOW FISH TEC CAN COMPLETE YOUR JOB:

After a visit to your project site and reviewing the bid packet, in order to complete your river clean up in time-effective, safe and environmentally friendly manner:
  • We will use divers equipped with underwater chain saws to cut off all debris to four feet at mean low water. This will ensure the bottom will not be disturbed. The use of crane barges, etc., to life and cut the log and replace it to the bottom would only cause harm to the environment and will not be used. A cable will be attached to the log above the cut so it will not float off after the cut. Large debris will be lifted and placed on the bank wedged so it will not re-enter the river. Small debris will be hand carried to the flood plane. Also, divers will inspect the cut to ensure no trees are missed. Any trash found by divers will be picked up and disposed off site at no extra charge.
  • Any tree limbs out of the water but still in the channel will be cut off and will be placed on the bank or flood plane based upon their size.
  • All fueling of work barges and boats will be done offsite. When fuel is needed, boats or barges will be loaded on their trailers and hauled off for fueling. When fueling chainsaws on site, a tray will be used to catch any small spills so as any gasoline will not be washed into the river.
  • It is important not to anchor or spud into natural river bottom to minimize erosion or harm fish habitat.
  • Underwater sonar will be used where the water is too murky for divers to see the debris.
  • It is our goal to establish a good working relationship with your inspector to ensure client satisfaction.
  • All work will be completed to scope set forth in the bid packet.
