RECENT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Since 1995, Fish Tec, Inc. has been involved in over 100 projects across the country as both the primary contractor and as a sub-contractor. Here is a little detail of just a few of those projects.

In San Marcos, TX, Fish Tec, Inc. was contracted to install 2,500 feet 8” HDPE pipe line in the middle of a spring fed water way. Pipe line was submerged to allow a different water crossing for boats. Fish Tec, Inc. also removed invasive cryptocoryne (water trumpet) from a one mile section of the spring fed waterway. (Texas Fish & Wildlife/other governmental agencies)

In Volusia County, FL, the pipeline owned by Dredge America was hit by a large vessel cutting the HDPE pipe line that was lying on the bottom in 30 feet of water in the International Coastal Waterways (ICW) channel. Divers were used to remover the damaged section, pull the existing flanges together, and re-bolt and anchor down. Fish Tec also removed the iron weights that were holding the pipe line down to float it to the surface for removal after the dredging was complete. (Dredge America)

In Austin, TX, Fish Tec, Inc. was contracted to install a pair of floating intakes for Austin Country Club's irrigation system. To eleminate impact on golfing memebers, dive operations were conducted at night. Precision hydraulic hand dredging was done first removing sediment and muck on the pond's floor to expose and remove a section of the existing intake system. Once removed, a new pipeline extension was installed and connected via cable to a float on the surface. (City of Austin, TX)

In Salt Lake City, UT, Fish Tec, Inc. was contracted to dismantle and re-install 36" and 42" pipelines in the tailings pond of the worlds largest open pit mining operation. The project consisted of removing two 36" and two 42" pipeline sections from a floating pump station and bringing them to the surface to be re-configured. Once the re-configuration was complete the pipeline sections were returned to Fish Tec divers to be sunk and re-attached to the floating pump station. Fish Tec divers also installed two 6 ton steel structures to the floating pump station and secured the pipeline to it. Fish Tec divers also provided cleaning services by removing calcium deposits from the floating pump stations. Fish Tec divers overcame a multitude of adverse conditions including cold water, high altitude, and diving in dilute sulfuric acid to safely complete this project ahead of schedule. (Kennecot Utah Copper/Rio Tinto/Associated Marine Contractors)

In Coral Springs, FL, Fish Tec, Inc. was contracted to remove sediment, muck, and debris from 56 culverts ranging in diameter from 48" to 96" and from 150' in length to 685' in length. We used a unique hydraulic dredging system which enabled us to complete this project with minimal impact to nearby wetland preseve areas. Fish Tec divers overcame a multitude of adverse conditions including zero light and zero visibility, confined spaces, and hazardous wildlife. (North Springs Water Management District/Parkland Country Club)

In Pascagoula Beach, MS, Fish Tec, Inc. was contracted to install over 8,000 linear feet of geotube for a large scale beach restoration and erosion control project. We worked in conjunction with a dredging contractor who resored 200' of beach. As the beach restoration progressed, Fish Tec personnel followed by digging a trench near and parallel to the shoreline into which a geotube was laid and filled and then covered with beach sand to produce a beautiful beach which will withstand erosion from future storm systems. (Army Corp of Engineers/Mike Hooks Dredging/Associated Marine Contractors)

All of the jobs were completed to 100% customer satisfaction with no time lost to injuries.
